Community Service & Experience in Chatham County

I proudly served the community we call home with 27 years of law enforcement experience. Retiring as a Staff Sergeant with the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office, I dedicated my career to promoting officer safety, advancing training, and building trust and respect with the citizens of Chatham County.

Not only am I experienced in law enforcement, but I also understand how a business is run, having successfully owned and operated my own business for nearly 14 years. Making day-to-day decisions and doing the work firsthand has never been something I shy away from.

I believe you should never ask someone to do something you wouldn’t do yourself. Leadership means leading from the front—not from the middle or the rear.

  • Led fundraising efforts to equip Chatham County deputies with TASERs
  • Authored the Chatham County TASER policy
  • Co-authored the Training Policy for the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office
  • Completed extensive law enforcement training, including investigative and leadership courses
  • Served as a Training Officer for the Siler City Police Department
  • Served as a Training Officer for the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office
